Google Maps
The Google Maps service can be supplied in CAB’s systems. This means that CAB can present interactive maps directly on the website, as well as calculate distances to and from different addresses.
Google Maps is an online map service from Google. If you live in the EEA or Switzerland, unless otherwise specified in supplementary terms and conditions from Google, the Services are supplied by Google Ireland Limited (“Google”), a company that has been established and operates in accordance with Irish law (registration number: 368047), at the address Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.
By using Google Maps through CAB’s systems, a subpage is activated from CAB’s systems. In addition, information about your device/computer is transferred by your device/computer to Google, e.g. your IP address and other technical information, as well as the date and time of the request. When using a route description in the map, the starting address etc. is sent. This takes place regardless of whether or not you have a Google user account that you are logged into. If you are logged into your Google profile, your data is assigned directly to your account. If you do not want data to be assigned to your Google profile, you have to log out before clicking on the link.
Depending on the settings you have made, it is also possible for Google to collect location data. This collection and choice of settings is a matter that is determined entirely between Google and the user.
CAB cannot influence Google´s data collection
Google is solely responsible for Google’s data collection, use and processing of data that is collected and processed through the map function. For more information, read Google Private Policy. External link.
CAB cannot influence what information is collected or the data processing activities that Google conducts, and the company also has no knowledge about the full extent of the data collection activities, the purposes for which data is processed or the periods for which data is stored. Google saves your details e.g. in the form of user profiles, which it then uses for marketing purposes or for market surveys, and/or the needs-adapted design of its website. An analysis of this type is performed (including for users that are not logged in) in particular in order to supply needs-based advertising, and in order to inform others using the social network about your activities on our website. In the same way, CAB has no information about Google’s deleting of collected data.
In order to prevent information being assigned to an existing profile at Google, you have to log out before you click on the link. You are entitled to object to the creation of these user profiles, but you have to contact Google in order to exercise this entitlement.
