RELEASE NOTES CABAS JUNE 2021

In the CABAS update for June, we have spent a great deal of time rectifying known errors as well as improving performance and safety. We have implemented an improved method of calculating the vehicle’s downtime days in CABAS.

CABAS: Improved calculation of downtime

We have now incorporated logic in the calculation of replacement days in the case of downtime for vehicles in CABAS. As before, you can select the status of the vehicle’s driveability (see upper image below):

The calculation for various statuses is performed as follows:

  1. “Driveable” status: number of days from “Repair start” to “Completion”
  2. “Temporary repair” status: number of days from “Repair start” to “Completion” PLUS number of days from “Arrival” to “Vehicle used – Start”
  3. “Not driveable” status: number of days from “Arrival” to “Completion”
  4. “Towing” status: number of days from “Arrival” to “Completion”
  5. “Flatbed Transport” status: number of days from “Arrival” to “Completion”

In the case of statuses 3–5, the date fields for “Vehicle used” will be blocked against entry/selection of dates. If the vehicle owner wishes to use their vehicle (and a temporary repair is possible), you may change to “Temporary repair” status, which allows you to enter the date (number of days the workshop requires to get the vehicle to a driveable condition).
